Bridal Inspiration From The 2014 Golden Globes

The Golden Globes ushers in Hollywood’s award season.

The stars put their best foot forward. Sunday’s red carpet featured silhouettes for all body shapes and sizes. Curvy women are quick to go with the A-Line Silhouette. It’s all purpose and safe. This year’s carpet gives us a glimpse at what bridal designer may unveil in October of 2014. Halter gowns, ball gowns that don’t hide curves but played to them with a sexy sweetheart neckline. A drop waist gown is simply exquisite as a curve hugging fit and flare, mermaid gown.

Curvy brides can think out of the A-Line box. Remember it isn’t your size that makes you look good it’s how it makes you feel. Moreover, even straight size celebrities miss the mark. I love Carolina Herrera but Tina Fey’s black gown with I think a floral pattern was a miss.

Many people got engaged over the holidays and if you live in the Northeast likely will pick up a few bridal magazines to peruse before they head out to the bridal salons to look in person. Take a trusted family member or good friend with you to begin looking for the perfect gown including brides north of forty. Get out there and try on the gowns you found and check out a few styles not on your list.
